Claudication is cramping in the legs and sometimes the arms. The condition affects the blood vessels and is caused by reduced blood flow. Pain is usually felt during exercise. But as the condition worsens, you may feel cramping even while resting. Claudication is treatable.

Claudication is a symptom of peripheral artery disease, a circulation problem that reduces blood flow to the legs or arms.
Symptoms
Claudication symptoms include:
- Pain during exercise
- Pain that comes and goes during less-strenuous activities
- Pain when resting, as the condition worsens
- Blue skin
- Sores on the legs, toes, arms or fingers
